You can find the SP Flash Tool package of a fully working beta release for UMi MAX with the version number of V7.01_20170215 here. Please download and flash it, then post your feedback in this thread.

SPFT: SP_Flash_Tool_v5.1648.rar

VCOM driver: Windows 10 already can install it automatically or you can use this: MTK_Driver_Auto_Installer_SP_Drivers_20160804.exe

This one is basically the UMi MAX variant of the V7.01_20170123 version released for UMi Super, with the same but not more bugs. However, the developers still claim this one as a beta version.

The list of known bugs:

• No proper fast charging - charging voltage and current jump up and down, and never stabilize

Dear Users,

Please report any issues here only if
1. you flashed this ROM with firmware upgrade, without keeping your old user data
2. they are new bugs that you didn't experience in earlier versions.

Any (new) GPS, small window, wifi, mobile data, bluetooth or fingerprint scanner issues are not related to this version, it doesn't have such issues in its factory state.

I. CRITICAL: I need a working telephone in the performance of the talks, optimally with two open applications. Is UMI MAX Android version 7.0 beta V7.01_20170215 meets the conditions of obligatory?

II. ESTIMATED: when there is a chance for the release of production UMI MAX Android 7.0?

III. FINAL VERSION: Will it be possible to upgrade to 7.1, or maybe the final version of this UMI MAX Android 7.1?

Installed it, set it up, so far seems great. One thing is that Google Play music seems to crash some sort of "Small Window" whenever I play/pause. And also I cannot find any menu in Engineering mode to check the charge rates, so I can't really check Quick Charging stability.

same shit os ... fingerprint going crazy ... only changed in settings inteface  phone is old ... on pure android is's this interface is from 5.1.1, never again i use and buy umi phone ... now i'm use a sony z3+ UMI PROGRAMERS , PLEASE SEEE ON HAND A PHONE WITH PURE ANDROID ... LIKE NEXUS5,NEXUS 5X ,NEXUS 6P  SONY Z4 i'm not satisfacted never never again umi products , and will put on youtube a video to seee another how umi works "perfectly"

About that HotKnot thing: there is a HotKnot button in the Music app (Now playing screen top right ...

I haven't noticed it, since I use Poweramp. You're right, there is a button and it crashes when pressed.

First they promise us Android 7 would be release on the 24th of December. Now, 2 months later, they give us a beta firmware. Well done!

I'm glad they did.  Eventually they'll even give us the update. At this price point normally you use a phone with the OS it came with and no updates whatsoever.

Hi, with this version android 7, u have problems with 2 thing. 1) bluetooth connect and disconnect alltime with my plantronics device 2) fingerprint it s crazy yet. Tanx
