7.0 was to be out of the box. This whole UMI. Good it have just marketing.

Gentlemen, be serious, I have UMI ever since the model UMI ZERO and always have been some problems, nothing has changed so far. And as for the android 7.0 is Samsung (SM-G615F) with the same SOC already has android 7.0

That's a resource file on needrom from UMi's laboratory but no to be officially released. Usually there are intermediate versions created between official (released) versions, it's a such one. I've created a flash tool package from the resources. You can try it if you want, it works properly. The UMi logo is changed to UMIDIGI and also the model name. It will be UMIDIGI Plus E in the future.

You can flash it without the user data.
I'm still waiting for the info about the next official update. An Android 7.x upgrade is not expected before the end of this spring, we're still waiting for the Helio P20 SDK from MediaTek.

Yes there is new ROM but not official version. Not tested by us.
Please wait few days and we should get official one. Then Ben will upload on new ROM thread.

didn't seem to do much, I took the ota.zip file out of the main rom, and flashed that zip, didn't see any difference, still shows jan 2017 rom
