umi plus fingerprint sensor unlocking without finger!

Hi,
I have updated my Umi Plus to Android 7 via the OTA update and done a full factory reset and since upgrading my phone is unlocking on its own. there is a bug with the fingerprint locking software as it doesnt need a finger to get into my phone.

Problem im finding is

1. phone unlocks itself in my pocket
2. if i try and unlock with finger and get "not recognised" then press the hard button with something other than my finger straight after it will unlock. i.e. my arm, t-shirt etc

Umi please can you investigate and fix, because it is pointless having a fingerprint lock if it doesnt work. i have had to turn it off now!

My wife's Plus has 1 registered, and will unlock 50% of the time with any finger. Maybe another issue with Android 7??

its strange, my PLUS working fine ... did you tried reset device ?

Hi,

Yep done a full factory reset twice and it is still happening.

How many fingers are you setting up? I've been doing all 5. Maybe this is overloading the phone so everything is matching. Either that or I've got no fingerprints :s

I have also ran into this problem, seems to be solved with only the setting up the mobile with 1x fingerprint (not 5)

I have also ran into this problem. I had 4 fingers registered, moved to 1 and it's still not working as expected.

Mine works perfectly with 5 fingerprints registered - Android 7.

Ok, I'm out of my yard here, since I'm using Max, but after upgrading to 7, it unlocks by itself sometimes, more often than not. What in the hell is that?!

i have the same problem too! unlock in my pocket without touching!
Unlock with other fingers or rub on the pants.
Does anyone know any solution?

Currently there is no solution as on testing devices we not experienced such issues.
But since android 7.0 there is missing calibration option which could causing problems on some hardware version.
Please wash/wipe your finger print sensor and then switch off device overnight and placed in warm dry place to remove all moisture from body.
I found that if there is moisture in/on device then is activating fingerprint sensor cause such issues.
