Android 7.0, battery drain + GPS not working fine

Hello,

Am I the only guy who have problems with the GPS ?
When I use Google Maps, it's impossible to drive with my Umi, I lost signal every kilometer
it's impossible to drive with this phone...

second problem : nougat android 7.0
before the update (android 6.1) : 0 battery problem and application facebook works fine
since android 7.0 (2 updates) : battery problem and facebook crash or lag...

Help me !

After factory reset battery drain is solved, but it still takes 7/8 h to be fully charged.

If you go back through all the threads you see that all UMi phones suffer from battery, screen and GPS problems. I have a Rome and it has been one problem after another.

It's always the same solution from UMi support and that is to upgrade the ROM. This is a simple process for people who are experts with mobile phones but for the ordinary person upgrading the ROM is a tricky job.

You need to accept the fact that your UMi phone is well designed and goes well alongside fashionable clothes, shoes and that new handbag. The fact that the phone doesn't work shouldn't really matter.

Battery life is same. Didn't measure the charging time, though. GPS DOESN'T WORK!!

I also encouter a lot of problems
GPS even after trying all solutions mentioned in this thread, GPS  does not work at all
very weak signal, instable GPS  fix

The only solutions seems to be to make some changes in root  data
(i.e. by using FASTERGPS  app, see: http://community.umidigi.com/for ... amp;page=1#pid38514)
but therefore you need root access
and I do NOT  want to root my phone because of warranty issues

in my opinion UMI  themselves should bring the solution ie  firmware update

We don't have GPS problem on our device but some users mentioned that when you switch off wi-fi, Bluetooth and then switch on only device in location section GPS is working acceptable.
About Android 7.0 and Facebook and battery drain again we don't have this fault maybe is something wrong with your battery and new system version is calculating incorrectly your battery status or during updating you got some error/bug.
Please perform factory reset (settings - backup and reset - factory data reset)
If doesn't help please flash your device with SPFT to latest Android 7.0 from this list

But if this not fix your problem you can come back to previous version android 6.0 from same list.

UMI official, is there any updates regarding bad GPS? It does not work on my UMI plus. I do not use it frequently and it seems to me it worked with initial revision when I bought phone. Recently, I tried to use it with Here maps, but could not because it did not find any satellite signal at all. I updated with latest V3.02_20170412 from http://community.umidigi.com/thread-7370-1-1.html, still same issue. I need navigation facility and I need to fix it quickly!

Dear MarcinP,
I am really curious about your device, as you say that you have no issues with the GPS.
In my case I have the last update of the software and still the location "jumps", by this I mean unsusable.
Please dont say that there is no issue with the GPS!

As for the battery life ,I belive that after the update to 7.0 I get a little bit less autonomy.
Please note that I did  a factory reset and wipe data and cache of the device after the update.

Did you read exactly what I write?
In my device I don have GPS problem but some users mentioned that after switching of Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and changing settings in location section to only device GPS signal was acceptable.

Hi,
You missed my point.
I am saying that a majority of users are saying that the problem is present than clearly we need some support, not vague answers.
I am really upset about the customer service, the phone is great BUT it still needs to improve software wise.
If I want acceptable GPS reception I use a 2010 phone and still get better GPS guidance that on this UMI.

Sorry if there was any misunderstanding.
But please understand that we can't fix your device online if you have hardware problem.
If you still facing with GPS problem you need contact to seller for warranty.

My UMI Super, 2 months in use, has a good GPS, a good battery and a perfect screen.
