Hi everyone
I didn't find a thread on the forum about this issue, so I thought I'd make one.
My UMI Super phone works almost perfectly. I've been using is for a few days now. The battery works perfect BUT I wanted to calibrate the battery by draining it to 0%, then charging it to 100% and draining it again.
The phone reached 0% and shut off automatically, There wasn't even a charge left to restart it.

The problem was when I wanted to charge it again, the phone recognized the charger, but after 40 minutes of being connected (shut off, turned on and turned on with "sleep" battery saving mode) it only had 1% charge. Normally, with the quick charge, you'll get about 40-50% in that time if the phone is shut off.

A factory reset solved the problem and the battery is now charging again. I am yet to install the newest ROM and I hope this will help the problem, because I am not willing to reset my phone every time my battery depletes completely.

It could not be a problem to charge the phone often. Its a litium battery. Keep an eye on the % and you will be save.

Hi
Phone has safety mode to be not working on very low battery voltage as li-ion-polim battery hate low voltage. When battery is under 3,4 v this mode is activated and phone is shutting down. To recover from this mode you need at least 15 minutes. In this time quick charger is not working to save battery. Only 5V and around 0.30 - 0,70 A is supplied after "kick in" is supplying 7V and 1,65A.
You shouldn't discharge batteries to 0%, safe level is between 1to 5%
