The forum is already full of thread on the Super display problems but I would like to reiterate the doubts about the presence of Gorilla glass. A few days ago I was picking up the work equipment and the phone slipped out of my pocket and it fell vertically on the floating floor 40 cm in height. As you can see from the video the phone was inside the cover and has a tempered glass on the display. The protective glass and the body of the phone have no signs of the fall but the display has broken making the phone unusable. I wonder how can a Gorilla glass break as easily as any protective glass has not suffered any damage. The display also had the defect of the already reported yellowish edges to the store UMI Official that it had recognized  the defect but the cost of shipping from Italy is too expensive to ship back the defective equipment. Now I have the problem of replacing the entire display and looking on Aliexpress Umi Digi store the assembled display costs $ 109. 99. It does not seem right to charge the display 2/3  of the price of the phone. In  the description of the replacement there is no mention of Gorilla glass.

Hi
You can get screen way cheaper from here
https://m.aliexpress.com/search.htm?keywords=umi+super+lcd
Very easy is replace screen with frame (price around 55 to 65), to replace only screen you need use hairdryer to remove screen from frame (price around 45 to 50), if you know some really good and fully professional service you can buy only OGS unit glass with digitizer (price around 17 to 25) but then you have labour expenses and only really professional services can do this.
I would recommend second option.
Please look here for teardown

And here you can see how remove screen from frame (this is not umi super but screen is mounted same way)

Thanks for the response, but this are information  already know if you have read the  thread. I expect however explanations on the official price and why any tempered glass was not damaged while the alleged Gorilla glass mounted on the Super and protected by this glass is broken.

So with this answer we have solved the problem as always? I wait to receive an official response on the alleged Gorilla glass of which there is no trace either in official spare parts. I reiterate the fact that a tempered glass from a few dollars remained intact while the glass of the display is broken. I also want to emphasize the fact that I have some experience of repairs on smartphones by Samsung to Apple and since I have 58 years and are an electronic technician I do not need video tutorials but an official response.

Hi
Only what I can say that other guy probably bought only OGS unit (glass + digitizer) around $20-25 and to replace this is high cost of labour, but if you get screen unit for around $45 - 55 you can replace yourself for free.
About gorilla glass you have official information on umi page and in resellers. I am not making this glass and I am not seating in it so what can I say.
If you look here
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=kGYHZs_DbPg
You will see that this glass protects from same scratches as Samsung or Apple. Please look on his channel to compare.
Here you can read about umi super specifications
http://www.umidigi.com/page-umi_super_overview.html
Glass is always very hard to protect from scratches but doesn't protect from dropping.
My friend bought Samsung s6 edge and dropped after  days on concrete and what happens? Of course glass cracked. But as glass, digitizer and lcd assembling/design/production is different that why digitizer is still operating.
Umi and most of Chinese brands using OGS unit type which is lighter, cheaper, thinner, etc but if crack digitizer is not responding.
In Samsung and Apple they still using 5 layer system glass - air gap or liquid adhesive  - digitizer - adhesive - lcd.

I thank you for the answers but I would like to know which is your role in UMI? I have bought two smartphones as you can read in my other thread and I can not think of being unlucky enough to have bought their own two of the few defective products. I am convinced however that the specifications are a little fanciful. It is not specified anywhere that has a display with OGS technology but it is clearly specified Corning Gorilla Glass 3. I have my doubts that exist a OGS screen with this  glass while they are aware of the fact that Corning has developed the Concore glass for OGS technology. Samsung of your friend had the screen protected by a tempered glass and had a cover as mine? I wait for an official response to the questions raised about the two smartphone a Touch and a Super both full of functional problems. When I decided to buy them expect what they had promised by UMI but apparently worth much less than they were paid, and UMI is a manufacturer to avoid.
