This is the SP Flash Tool release of the
V1.4_20190321 system software
for UMIDIGI A3

Flash tool operation is recommended to experienced users only. If you are not yet an experienced flash tool user, please carefully read the flash tool tutorial before proceeding, and strictly follow each instruction.

Except if an authorized or responsible expert directly asked you to do that,
never format the flash chip of your device or you instantly lose your warranty!

UMIDIGI A3 receives all updates automatically via FOTA method. You need this tool only in case of emergency (if you've bricked your phone), if you want to apply a clean install or if you want to clear all root access and custom recovery to make your phone able to receive FOTA updates again.

Changelog:
  • Minor bug fixes
  • System optimization

FOTA version: UMIDIGI_A3_V1.4_20190321_20190321-1157

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
SP Flash Tool
Resources:

Flashtool tutorial: http://bit.ly/SPFTguide

Extract the .rar file before use. The scatter file (MT6739_Android_scatter.txt) is inside the extracted folder, together with the other components

VCOM driver: Windows 10 can automatically install it. Please make sure that your Windows is logged in with administrator rights and your computer has a working internet connection when first time connecting your phone.

Here's an optional solution to start the flashing process on your UMIDIGI A3 if the standard method doesn't work.
It's especially useful if your phone is bricked or is stuck in bootloop
1. Connect your UMIDIGI A3 to USB.
2. Start the flashing process with the Download button in the flasher app.
3. Press and keep pressed the power button of your phone until the flashing process starts (red bar appears at the bottom of the app window), then release it. In this process you have to keep the power button pressed for about 10 seconds.
4. Wait until the flashing process finishes.

Kind request from users:
Please report any kind of new issues you experience after installing this update only if you've already flashed this ROM with SP Flash Tool in Firmware Upgrade mode. In rare cases a FOTA update can cause more or less serious malfunctions but that means only the update process went wrong, not a badly developed ROM. An updated stock ROM, especially related to the basic functions will not cause any new issues but will solve some of the existing ones.

It is the number of the technical standard conformity certificate about the telecommunications of Japan, but there is that A3 and A3pro numbers are different in the net.
・ A3 Pro ...... 205-190376
・ A3 ............ 205-190375
Actually, A3 too
205-190376
Is it displayed? Did you make a mistake when listing this in the farm?
I would like you to list the FCC and CE numbers if you mention it
I want you to reply and get a new farm.

My umidigi A3 pro won't boot. It always sticks on the boot screen.

Some days ago my battery ran low and when turned on when was showing data corrupted format system and after the format my phone does not work again.

With the battery fully drained, press the download button on the tool and wait for it to connect to the terminal where the battery is drained and then turn on the power
The tool should enter download mode just before entering the loop when it is charged and turned on

After a firmware update on 2nd March, a bootloop has occured on my Umidigi A3.

The Costumer Support advised me to try a factory reset and wipe cache partition from recovery mode but this procedure didn't solved the problem.

In addition they raccomended to reinstall the firmware from official site.
Does the procedure described in this thread concern this?

Thanks

Hi, I flashed the rom with the sp flash tool. My A3 passed boot loop, However both IMEI were lost. Is there a way to restore IMEI? The SN writer tool failed.

hello all!

unfortunately...same here.. did an SP flash update of 1.3 no IMEI would load.. went up to 1.4 via SP flash again.. no IMEI.

i did get this resolved by going back to V1.2...0427. after SP finished, SIM cards picked up right at boot - just like normal. is there going to be a fix tor this soon? i'd like to take advantage of any bug fixes and improvements

i have not had the time, or wanted to see, if doing a sequential update from recovery would solve this. i only did the SP flash for my updates.

cheers!
