Edited by rhen at 2015-12-21 05:43 \n\nHi!

I've made a color filter to fix UMI Iron's camera colorization error.
It is basically a transparent image with the color differences. All you need to do is subtract it from the original image.
I don't have great programming skills so this is just an image in Gimp and you have to apply the filter one by one.
No bulk fix yet, but my goal is to make a simple android app to do the work.

Here are some sample:

left is the filtered, right is the original

If you wish I post the XCF file with the filter in it here.

Sorry for the late reply. I've uploaded the files: https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0Bxi5Y1_K_OXEcXg1TXNWamZ6Z2s&usp=sharing

Explanation for the files:
Iron_ColorFilter_20151229.xcf - The original image. You can see how the filter made and access to the non compressed one. (Yes, the blur is needed to eliminate the image noise of the base image. Without it, the filter makes the image "blocky")
Iron_colorFilter_20151229.png - The exported png file that you have to subtract from the photos.
Iron_ColorFilter_example1.xcf - This is an example to see how to apply the filter and what the result will look like.

The filter has made of an image of an A3 white paper in consistent light.
If you can shot better base image, you can do the filter with that too.

I don't know how to apply this in a camera app, maybe I had to make a vector graphic from the filter first.
Also this could be good for video too.

I still think that UMI should address this in driver level since apply this filter in user level takes much more resources and can be used only in app that implements this filter.

This is actually pretty standard on digital camera processing; a filter of some sort is added to the sensor output to compensate for distortion. Maybe Umi can use this to adjust the filter they're already using.
