Android 8.1 for S2 lite

Hi guys,
I wish inform you that the Android 8.1 will be ready at the end of August.
All new S2 lite devices will be sold with Android 8.1 pre-installed.
Today we know that the S2 lite with Android 7.0 can be flashed with SPFT to Android 8.1 but currently we struggling with possibilities to make device Google certificate after flash.
Unfortunately we suspecting that this can be not possible to do and we are sorry for this inconvenience.
Please stay tuned for more informations.

You guys are digging your own grave like this.
When I was looking for a new phone, the S2 lite came out as a definite best option considering the update to 8.1.
I am sure many people bought it for the same reason.

My true confusion here is how it was not possible for you to know this earlier...
Either your developers need to learn how to communicate or you just got to straight up be transparent about why and what is going on.
The community makes the brand... not the other way around.

This company is such a joke... And it really is a pity because I like the phone, the overall project...
Nevermind... I will sell-it and buy a XIAOMI...

Take the Umidigi S2 LITE and point it a any gloss black screen that is made out of glass (like the computer screen of a MacBook), and you will see that one top half (the white flash) is on. While the bottom half (the "Amber" flash) is actually not even on. Therefore this shows that the bottom "Amber" Flash is non-functional.

Okay, maybe the dual camre is real, just the secondary camera is not being used at all, as the bokeh effect is completely software generated (fake bokeh), with no actal depth senceing.

All other "expensive smartphone" (like the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and iPhone X) use the secondary camera for depth sensing, for the real Bokeh effect. But thank you for the explanation fbr.

Quite deceptive and misleading company in their advertisements, I should say! Not only lying about the Android 8.1 upgrade, but also the dual camera and the dual flash! This company is such a joke

I understand your anger, but 2nd the camera is not focused image, it is only for light and collect information like all other smartphones carry, the most expensive would be the same. What the flash has is a low intensity, they should have put one with greater intensity, it is something poor.

If you perform factory reset and then login to Google account as fresh/new device you will get proper name.
