This is the SP Flash Tool release of the

V1.0_20180402 system software

for the C350_KW_S83C hardware version of UMIDIGI S2 Lite

Flash tool operation is recommended to experienced users only. Do not use it if you cannot understand the whole process!

UMIDIGI S2 Lite receives all updates automatically via FOTA method. You need this tool only in case of emergency (if you've bricked your phone), if you want to apply a clean install or if you want to clear all root access and custom recovery to make your phone able to receive FOTA updates again.

Extract the .rar file before use. The scatter file (MT6750T_Android_scatter.txt) is inside the extracted folder, together with the other components

VCOM driver: Windows 10 can automatically install it. Please make sure that your Windows is logged in with administrator rights and your computer has a working internet connection when first time connecting your phone.

Here's an optional solution to start the flashing process on your UMIDIGI S2 Lite if the standard method doesn't work.

It's especially useful if your phone is bricked or is stuck in bootloop

1. Connect your UMIDIGI S2 Lite to USB.

2. Start the flashing process with the Download button in the flasher app.

3. Press and keep pressed the power button of your phone until the flashing process starts (red bar appears at the bottom of the app window), then release it. In this process you have to keep the power button pressed for about 10 seconds.

4. Wait until the flashing process finishes.

Kind request from users:
Please report any kind of new issues you experience after installing this update only if you've already flashed this ROM with SP Flash Tool in Firmware Upgrade mode. In rare cases a FOTA update can cause more or less serious malfunctions but that means only the update process went wrong, not a badly developed ROM. An updated stock ROM, especially related to the basic functions will not cause any new issues but will solve some of the existing ones.

I also got the same problem..after flashing via sp flash tool with format+download section... Everything is OK but no imei and no fingerprint response... I used SN tool for imei but I got no solution for fingerprint... I checked last replies and one link provided as solution doesn't work... Now plz help me with the solution... Plz...

I feel very frustrated with umidigi, I bought S2 LITE with promises that I would enter the update 8.1 and until today nothing, several other brands with smaller phones are already with android 9 and we do not have anything so far, I feel that it is in the time to leave the company and look for another company that gives more attention to its customers.

\n\ni have tried all the four roms update for my Umidigi S2 lite and my phone is still bricked..after flashing it once i power it on it shows white black and red transition on my screen and then everything goes blank.......i even tried flashing the files one by one and discovered that the file name tee1 and tee2 is responsible for the phone to show those transition ....please help me i can't use my phone for days now. please can i get theactual rom that came with the phone as at when it was released to the market ireally need my phone to work please

Talk to the seller if it is new, to see if you can make a change or return the money.
Or directly you will get it as paperweight, because a lot of this mobile will not do more, there are no updates from 5 months ago. And now they confirm that we were without Android 8.1 for not having been approved, here more information:

hi, i have umidigi s2 lite and i am bery happy with this phone, never experiencing any issue with system or signal or wifi or bluetooth, Everything works great. Only thing what seems work poor, is auto brightness, it responds very slow and not accuracy. I already rooted the phone with developer option, its great thing  that umidigi put root under developers option, i hope this option will included also in oreo update.

Impossible.... as we cant get it, they neither....

When the real staff will do the stuff then will send/mail the material to this forum staff members and they will post it.
Basically the staff here are only for show, sad to say but also after i asked for a stock for 64gb version, they ask me in private/pm if the "real staff" sended me the firmware....

We need someone that have strong ties with the real staff and can ask for the stuff we need, we should quit this community because is less usefull of xda community, i had some hope until yesterday but now is clear that if the real guys dont showup my help request here is as not asked.

I not started a legal act on them only because i buyed on Amazon, and as Umidigi dont care about us.... Amazon dont care about Umidigi but care us so i can get a new one or cash back.Im waiting to see the final result of my contacting all the "Contact Us" guys, for now 0 replies.

Hi, since I have carried out this update, the cameras do not work anymore, with the consequence of the camera application disappeared. even if you downgraded, the problem remained.

I tried to update through OTA, but when restarting to update it gives error and it hangs. Then, it restarts without problem. It happens to someone else?

Network band icons are part of android system. This might change in Android 8.We don't have issues with SIM 1 signal. Please check sim card, swap to slot 2 and test. In you experience issue only on slot 1 you have hardware fault and you should contact to seller for warranty solution.

Please try download OTA again. If doesn't work you can download from this thread complet OTA zip file and update as local update.
If still doesn't working you can use SPFT and uncheck user data to protect your data or perform factory reset and update as through to OTA or OTA zip file.

Maybe it will be postponed until June due to Google's new and very strict GMS certification policy. Unfortunately, currently I can't tell you the exact date.

Please perform factory reset.
If not helped you need flash complet ROM with SPFT.
