No there will be no problems if you go abroad, roaming will be working correctly only you need activate roaming in network.

You need go to settings - more - mobile networks - data roaming - on.
If still not working you need contact to network provider as maybe you don't have contract etc to using data in roaming

I have no experience with roaming on mobiles but I ran into a problem with some telcos in Australia. With Telstra and Optus mobile data is set up by default when you insert the SIM for that company. Another company called Amaysim requires me to manually insert the APN settings. In your case if you had your phone connected to service provider A and data worked then if you roam to network B or C or D you may need the APN settings input manually for that network. Calls work OK for me using Amaysim but not data until I apply the required settings. Anybody else know if that would be correct?

Yes you are correct. This is happening for third party network providers (virtual networks)
