I'm pretty sure that you all will be delighted to learn that as opposed to everything said by admins and mods up to now, it seems that our beloved engineers at umidig did receive the sdk from MTK.

Childish is that the only way to get updated information is for a customer to have to ask everytime and then. There's no place for a changelog or a github like place where we can follow whats corrected and what its being corrected. Childish is everytime someone gives you a date and you dont fulfill it and even don't give a rekt to inform right away the costumer about it. Advertisement said that OTA 7.1.1 update would be right on the corner after the launch. Its been like 4 months or maybe more from the release date of this device? And yet, promises and promises is what you get, when you get answered. Once again, this is not to bring the brand down but from my personal point of view, and I bet that im not the only one, if this update team does not get more importance then the one responsible for new devices (wich umi is more intended to) later on no one will care for this devices due to lack of update support. Invest more on the currently  launched ones than the ones going to be launched or all you have is many devices with disgracefull software (by disgraceful I mean a non optimized one). Still i wish sincerelly that Umi make me swallow my words with results, Not more words.

It just means that the SDK provided doesn't work with Umi Plus E specs.
To be honest you'd better just FORGET about it being upgraded.
The phone works good even with Android 6.0.1

I know that and perfectly agree with you.
A quick check on Plus and Z / Z pro forum about 7.0 ROM is more than enough  not to want it too fast !
I just wanted to make it clear that up to now, we were constantly told that MTK did not delivered sdk to umi engineers, and that this was the reason why enginneers had not yet been able to work on it.
Here we learn that it is not true, sdk has been delivered in timely manner, but conveniently "it's not working" ...

Make UMI engineers work faster? No darling, not my intent since I'm not the one responsible for the department. Im not either the marketing responsible but your lack of entrepreneur skills are obvious. Simples as that.

@MarcinP I'm not trying to PROOF anything since the obvious does not need to be proofed. But a company needs to learn how to "swallow" points of view of the costumers if they want to improve. Otherwise, why would you be working on mobile phones if our opinion didnt matter? Me or any other costumer does not need to proof anything, altough i'm still waiting for UMI to show it's true potencial besides assembling some parts together. I've seen many, and I mean MANY people unhappy with the brand and I'm on the point of virtue to join that people if UMIDIGI does not change his support method. We are not here to measure swords size. We are here to try help even when all we get is a delayed date without a decent answer like "we are sorry, we are trying to implement this and that, although that and this is already corrected.". Take an example it can be and ofend or a worrying tip if you tell someone he/she is fat. It only depends on the way you talk.
