Also had the same problem with my umi iron, just like when put to load and the next morning I went to see him, was totally erased and with no sign. I tried to talk to the factory and they told me they can not do anything. Imagine a manufacturer say that can not do anything, that indifference, I asked at least contact a vendor to send me a motherboard, but they did not respond more. For now these cards are still pretty expensive, I've found that the card is short, but afraid to replace and be the same problem. As with others I'm sure this is a factory defect. UMI if you will burn like this will never be a major world company mobile phones.

I have the same problem: my phone just stopped charging, it won´t react to any charger or connection to a pc so it can´t be flashed or firmware updated. Nothing works. Presently, I am working out claims with the seller, Tomtop, through eBay, who seems to be cooperating. I´ll keep y´all informed

Replacing the micro USB connector on the phone solved the not charging problem for me, the one that comes with the phone is terrible quality, pins that are soldered to the PCB are very fragile and break easily.

Just an update: I have had great communication with Tomtop, the seller whom I bought the phone from the eBay and, seeing as a phone service couldn't figure out what the problem is, Tomtop has agreed to send me a replacement. I hate to advertise, but these guys have been very helpful in their post/sale client service working out this problem for me.

OK, so update: Tomtop, the eBay seller i got the phone from, who, after promising to replace the faulty phone or refund my money, has done neither and has now completely stopped communicating with me, just playing dead. This is not a serious dealer and i must warn everyone not to do business with them.

The UMI company would be great considering what kind of deigns for models they are making and they have the potential to improve on their own mistakes. If they would keep a model line going and focus on correcting flaws instead of making new model lines, they would end up with pretty awesome and recognisable phones. Their biggest barrier to success is the fact that you will never be able to fully trust some of the dealers. UMI should do this themselves and focus on customer care. In the sea of mobile phones, a good name means more than just mass production
