Hi all,

Got my new Z Pro yesterday and spent a few hours getting it set up just nice with a 128gb SD card and tons of content transferred over etc and then just as I was going to bed the phone was knocked off the table and the screen smashed when it hit the ground despite having this "shoch-absorb" case on

The screen still displays the home scren and the home button still works etc but the touch screen doesn't work at all and will need to be replaced.

Can someone recommend the best way to go about having the scren replaced and give me an idea of how long the process will take and how much it will cost?

Cheers.

Sorry to hear about that mate. Best recourse is to check with your seller how much the cost is.

Not impossible to DIY but you have the hassle of tearing down phone plus scouting for a reliable supplier.
I am not sure if the display for Umi Z fits the Z Pro so can't assure you.

Thanks Chooks06, appreciate it.

I purchased the Z Pro from http://www.efox-shop.com so have contacted them to see if they can facilitate a repair but I'm not holding my breath.  If they can't do it I don't see a local phone shop doing it either as UMi isn't a popular manufacturer so parts and familiarity with the repair process won't be great.

All I could think of to lighten the mood earlier was that my "Z" was dead, my Z was dead!! (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y7Yp2L6c2KM)
