Bei mir funktioniert die Verbindung zum BMW Navigationssystem Business ohne Porbleme.
Die Tonqualität ist bei Audio-Wiedergabe und Telefonaten gut.
Der Wechsel von Audio-Wiedergabe zu Telefonaten klappt sehr gut.

For me the connection to the BMW Navigation System Business works without any problems.
The sound quality is good for audio playback and phone calls.
The change from audio playback to telephone calls works very well.

I also have a similar problem with my Garmin Vivosmart HR+. It's firmware is up to date. I'm on the latest Android 7.1 version (V7.01_20171023) on the phone.

The connection to the watch regularly drops and it can be really difficult to re-establish it. Sometimes it will work after I've turened bluetooth on/off 5 to 10 times. On other occasions even this won't work and I have to re-pair the device from scratch - which is also really difficult. Frequently the pop up window to enter the pairing code disappears before you can type anything, other times you can enter the code and nothing happens. It hangs on waiting for the connection.

I've tried turning the watch on/off and a factory reset of the watch. I've also tried rebooting the phone after clearing the bluetooth data. Nothing so far fixes the problem.

Will a factory reset of the phone really fix this problem, please? I don't want to go to all that effort if it makes no difference in the end.

Be honesty to you nobody can give you any guarantee that factory reset fix your issues as every case is different and we can't test everything.
If you decide perform factory reset I strongly recommend not install all apps and test phone and Bluetooth for day and if you still have same issues then use PC and flash complete ROM.
