So, there's this weird issue that i've been having with the UMI phone.
When I turn on WiFi, connect to WiFi, or really do anything to do with WiFi, the phone crashes and reboots.

I've already tried clearing cache, rebooting, factory reset, turning off location, airplane mode, and etc.

Are there any solutions for this, or maybe an update that fixes it?

Edit: Clearing cache seems to provide only a temporary solution, as it returns a little bit after the cache has been cleared.
Phone Model: PLUS

Build Number: UMI PLUS.V3.01_20161228

So, I did another factory reset and it is stuck in a bootloop even after clearing the eMMC.

I think that this phone has been bricked.

I had the same problem with the UMI Super. As soon as the phone reboots , scroll down and turn off the Wifi. The problem is associated with connecting to the LAN and there is another thread that shows an error log that suggests its to do with an IPV6 issue. Some null field returned from your router. Try turning your router off so there is no wifi - you will probably find the phone doesn't reboot. I went back to Marshmallow Android 6 - which doesn't have the problem.

By an amazing coincidence (or we've received the same silent OTA update) I had the same problem yesterday (the phone locks into a bootloop when it connects to my home Wifi). It is now worse following a factory reset, as you cannot easily switch off wifi or airoplane mode before it reboots. Fudgeit, could you please give details of the other threads you mention.

I have just installed the latest ROM and the problem is still there. As soon as I connect to my local LAN via IPv4 the phone crashes. It is definitely an IPv6 issue. If IPv6 returns a null field the phone crashes. Has this been investigated and are there any solutions. Where are the responses from the UMI tech team on this.

I've been having the same problem for ages. Tried everything but I have finally found a solution that worked for me. When connecting to WiFi enter advanced settings and change the IP to static. Then enter an IP address within your routers range.
