hi All ..
if you want to root your android nougat which is very strict on rooting via old methods , you can end up loosing entire system messed up few times like me . But if you want to reach it fast you need to understand what Nougat is and brings . Cutting it short , we need to use systemless root for this .
what you need to do is ::
1. download your untouched system magisk manager from play store .
2. flash twrp recovery via SPTOOL
3. reboot and check if everything is working.
4. reboot twrp and install the magisk zip.
5.reboot system and check with the 1. app you downloaded from play store.
6.reboot recovery and install phh-superuser-magisk-r266-2.zip which is systemless supersu.
7. reboot your system and check with magisk manager if everything works.
8.have fun.

  systemless supersu
  uniinstaller if you wish

Even if you use a Systemless root method which indeed will root your phone there's no way to toggle root on and off or pass the safetynet check on Nougat 7, it works on Marshmallow, as do Systemless xposed that you can toggle on and off.

Seeing as the super does not have NFC, what use is SafetyNet compatibility?

And how would you toggle root mode on MM? I am going to stick to Marshmallow for now as I really need the xposed framework which is not yet available for nougat but I can't toggle root mode on magisk 10.2 (using systemless root and systemless xposed), I can only toggle xposed in xposed downloader.

Safetynet is what tells an app that your phone is rooted. So if you for instance turn root off with the toggle on a banking app that doesn't accept root, it will work again.  Post time 2017-2-1 19:29

If you use Magisk 10.2 you need to download an app called auto magisk. Inside that app you can then pick the apps (banking apps, pokemon go and other known apps that don't allow root will be preselected by auto magisk)

I prefer v6 of Magisk since i can toggle selinux permission as well on that version.

I highly doubt that you will be able to work out a functional working xposed on Nougat if not even the Dev rovo been able to do it. But please try! LOL  Post time 2017-2-3 22:12
