Hi every one!!

I think (hope) i found the solution to fix the autofocus issue that some of us have!
I don't know if it will work for every phones but at least it works for me!!!

Before the iron i had hammer with a camera that stop working with no reason, after few days i decided to open the back of the phone and have a look to the lense to see what happen... Then i realised that it was a problem of contact of the lense!!! with a bit of pressure on the upper corner the camera worked again! so i put a bit of alloy paper to keep the same amount of pressure and it worked!!!
So this morning i tried to to the same with my Iron, open it and tried to press a little bit the lense and tried to take some pictures and guess what... The focus worked!!!!
it is the exact same problem Once you press on the top of the lense the camera start focusing, if you release it it stop again...
So again, a bit of alloy paper (to get like 1mm extra) on each corner of the lense, close the phone again and it worked!
So finaly i have a camera that work (still a bad quality cam) better!!!
I hope it will work for other phone!!! Tell me if it is ;)

i will try to do some picture with my gf phone tonight but anyway it is really easy:
you take off the screws of the back cover,
then take off the 2 screws of the upper plastic cover.
Then try to take picture pressing smoothly the upper side of the lense to see if it focus again
If it works then you have to put something thin enough to press on it when put the plastic cover back ;)
Before to put the screws back just check that the focus still works, if it does not put something a bit bigger and if it does work just put everything back together
Less than 5mn!!!

by the way i installed the " camera FV-5" APK and it does much better picture than the stock one

First statement: You're asking me about proof that there was false advertising with this product and that there are no Sony IMX214 in this UMI Iron phone
Second statement: UMI on every step advertise this phone with that Sony camera... quoting from your site (http://www.umidigi.com/?page-UMIIRON_Specification.html) Rear 13MP Sony IMX214 camera with dual flashlight

BTW I bought five of this phones for my whole family and I'm dissapointed with UMI IRON... Zero was so much better

Mr. moderator you are confirming that this phone does not have a Sony camera.

all the publicity of this phone was false

as, announced roms, MIUI and CM, yourself and confirmed that it was not true now confirms that the camera is not SONY

Just the word 'not' missed in that sentence. I meant "Where did you find that info claiming that there's not a Sony IMX214 camera inside the UMI Iron?" Sorry, this system is extremely slow nowadays that makes it difficult to verify and post many replies and threads without errors.
Anyway, the IMX214 is just the camera sensor. A bad quality lens + autofocus structure still can spoil its job but those test photos I saw made with UMI Irons were not bad.
Moreover, we've got an evidence today, the focusing issue is caused by hardware defection, what I claimed (without 'not') even without owning a such defective phone.

P.s.: UMI is not my company.

What do you think about that pic done with my UMI IRON? No foto effetct!!!...Try to zoom and look at the grass or tree....

So, we need to know if the engineers are working on the solution of auto-focus of camera, more and more users appear on different forums with the same description... Blurry Images!
Please your help!!!
