I just received UmiPlus 2 days back and observed that my phone gets heated up while charging and while playing 3D games like Clash of Kings (not yet played asphault8) from 95 to 107.5 Fahreinheit which is really annoying. Had similar problems with my Xioami mi4i thatswhy i got this phone but it looks like this phone is also same.
Please let me know if anyone is facing similar issues? (had blubloo maya max which never get heated while charging or playing games)
See this post where they replied saying that it is normal http://community.umidigi.com/thread-4451-4-1.html but its very annoying. When the phone gets heated and if we get a call then we can fee the heat
This phone heating issue is becoming annoying each day. Phone temperature comes to around 106.7 degrees and the phone is becoming hot on top where there is no battery and Umi says its normal.
I just played clash of kings game for 10mins and the temperature raised to 108 f
Samsung has confirmed that there was some issues with Battery and its getting overheated and getting burnt. As i mentioned earlier this phone getting heated to 117 F sometimes during charging and playing games so i am feared now to use Umi Plus.
Can you guys confirm me that there wont be any issues with Umi Plus due to overheating?
I got my new Umi Plus E and it doesnt heat up during charging.
114 degrees for battery is still ok, but not much more than this. As for CPU 170 degrees is safe even for longer period, though there is a throttling mechanism which will not let your CPU to overheat (throttling in MediaTek CPU's kicks in quite early) . So no worries at all, enjoy your phones, it's perfectly normal.
But its very disgusting if you get a call while charging or while playing phones as you can feel the heat with your ears. I am currently using UMI PLUS E and it seems that it doesnt have such problems.

ofc it will get heated, even if just charge the phone without using it, it is supposed to get heated, and more, if it's using the fast charging feature!
