I received my UMI Plus this week and I was happy with it until yesterday. I was watching a video on YouTube when sudenly half the screen started behaving strangely. The bottom half of the screen is normal, but the upper part seems to be showing only half the lines, and shows some drag from the other lines as well. I already rebooted a few times, did a factory reset, let the battery drain to 0% and the screen is still the same. Is there anything else I can try, or should I contact the seller for warranty / return?

EDIT: Also tried reflashing everything and it still looks the same.

Definitely you have hardware problem.
There is two options
1. Loss connection
2. Defekt in screen due to internal failure or phone was bent in pocket cause this fault.
You need contact to your supplier.

@MarcinP thats not what he deserves. If someone shows the confidence in the device and buys it, there should be some support to fix his issues instead of telling them to claim warranties.

Hey, I have the same issue, the only difference is that the bottom part of my screen has the issue. Did you find anything to fix this ? I'mma contact UMi to claim warranties right now.

@NecroBlade sadly no, it's still the same. I did disassemble it and reconnected the power and screen cables, but nothing changed. I contacted the seller and they told me to send it back to china to get a full refund, or keep it and have a partial refund. I ended up choosing the partial refund as sending it back to china was the same as buying a new screen.
Anyway, I still didn't order the new screen because I would like to be sure the problem really is the screen, as the phone was working fine for some days before this happened.
I'm happy with the phone other than that. I don't think I could get anything better for what I've paid (if the screen worked properly). An official answer to the problem would be nice, as it seems this is a common problem, I've also found it on the UMI SUPER thread, for instance.

@xernobyl Alright, now they asked me the same thing but they pay the shipping for me. But for some weird reason I cannot use my free waranty to repair the phone so yeah. If you can figure out if it's indeed the screen I'll order a new screen too. I'mma go to some local stores (that are selling phones and all that) and I'll ask them to figure out what the issue is. I'll let you know what info I'll get.
