ok the problem is when you turn the volume up to nearly max (2 levels from the top) the phone crashes.

3 levels from max is fine

definatly a firmware issue

Hi shootoman,

Have you installed the latest update (here). It is supposed to resolve the issue you are describing.

Do not ignore bencbacsi's advice though. If you connect the headphone output to the line-in on an amplifier than you should be careful. If you have no other option make sure you do not go above 50%.

You could try a bluetooth receiver (this one for example). That way you can keep your phone with you and still listen to the music using your amplifier.

I'm already on firmware version 1.5 and it does not fix the issue.
And its not the amplifier what is the problem as it happens with earphones.

I will try to tweak the setting in engineering mode, but this is not just happening to me others are having the same issue, there's another post in the sub-forum about the same thing.

Hello,

I confirm this issue with my IRON too in V1.5.
It appears with the 2 last levels. But:
It's a just a bad parameter for max volume because the volume at these levels are not audible (very much LOUDER than the previous levels) with an headphone.
Moreover bencebacsi you allready have given a solution as you said with the Engineer mode in an other post.
So for me it's not important because I usually not used these levels even with my other phones ^^ and we have a workaround.
