Hello,
I have recently received UMi Max. The first thing I noticed is that you write that the first firmware for it was 20160819. I have received it with an earlier ROM, I guess 20160809 and there were no OTA updates available. I have flashed manually 20160819 and then I have received 2 OTA Updates. Now it is 20161017.
Overall, The phone is working fine, But there are 2 problems: First, The speakers volume is very low. I know that I can raise it in the engineering menu, But I do not want to do this because if I will set too high values, I may damage the speakers. My relatively old Elephone P7000 has significantly louder speakers than UMi Max. Can you release a firmware with the volume fix? Make it at least a little bit louder.
My second problem is that the phone see 5ghz WiFi network, But can not connect to them. 2.4ghz works fine and the range is fine, But would be nice if you could resolve this particular problem with the 5ghz WiFi networks.

Hello, If your current version is earlier than 20160819, There are 2 options: You may install 20160819 from here and then install 2 OTA updates, Or you may install the latest current version 20161017 here.

Forgot to mention that the fingerprint sensor does not work on 20161017. It seems like the latest update to the other UMi phones also broke the fingerprint.

After clearing cache/data/recalibration the fingerprint sensor started to work quite well, But still not as good as my elephone p7000 and a lot of other devices from Doogee/Ulefone and other devices I dealed with. I am not sure is this a firmware issue or maybe I have received UMi max with a different hardware version and this is why it had earlier firmware  without ota. Would be nice to receive response from UMi.

I will not receive any response from UMi, at least anyone will be able to write the safe value of the sound settings in the engineering mode? The sound from the speakers is very weak. I am afraid to raise it because I do not know thre safe values to not damage the speakers

Hola, yo tambien tengo el mismo problema con los altavoces o parlantes y ahora que lo mencionas, yo también tengo la misma versión. Al parece el problema es por causa de la actualización..
