Hi,
Over the last week I've noticed that my phone's battery are not at the expected level.
Yesterday the phone would not charge at all unless I held the charger at a particular angle.

Eventually I charge the phone up but I had to hold it at that angle.

Is this a battery issue or phone?

How would I go about getting it fixed?

What a shock. 2 days and no response. Umi support is a joke. What a load of rubbish.

Support means responding to customers

I think the admins have abandoned the Touch forum Bob. If you mean the wall wart/wall plug part of the charger has to be held in a certain position it could be a fractured pin or loose connection. If you mean the USB plug you could prove if it's the phone or the cable by swapping to a known good cable. I found most Samsung and Kindle leads interchange. If the problem is in the phone port you'll have to try for a warranty repair or replacement phone. Try charging the phone from a PC or laptop and if that works OK the wall plug is stuffed for sure. Buying an aftermarket charger will be a lot less stress than trying to interest somebody in a warranty claim. I must be one of the few happy UMi Touch customers. A few weeks ago I installed Cyanogenmod 13 instead of the factory Android which mopped up a few minor irritations I had. Hope this that helps you mate.

Thanks. Up until this issue i was and am still happy with the phone. My only problem is with the support. The fault is in the phone and not the cable.
Thanks for taking the trouble to reply.
