Hi,

I use a factory nano sim card and a sony sd card, both brand new. Anyway I have now received a new Iron, it only took 67 days .......form that the dealer confirmed received my dead Iron.

Ok unpacking, so far everything ok, inserting SIM card still ok. Find an systemupgrade to 1.4 iron. Upgraded and now my phone don´t recognise the SIM anylonger or not even the SD card.

This is soooo boooring and makes me really p... off. I feel like I have lost 175$. I have bean decived. DISAPPOINTED

I have tried to update to 1.5 but gets a message that "SD card error, please check the card and try again". in the storage settings the card is not visible, like it is not inserted, same as the SIM card.

Hope that you haven't tried the "Russian hack" for 2 (two) SIM cards and 1 (one) TF card in the card tray simultaneously.
It's dangerous and chances for non-recoverable damages are very high. Some users here may confirm this from their own experience...

Use an original nano SIM card, not a cut-to-size one since the latter is thicker as well. Format the sd-card to FAT32 system with Windows, using a USB card reader. The phone cannot recognize your micro SD card if that's formatted to exFAT system.

hI, yes you are right, but as I wrote earlier in this thread about SIM card a new original non cut card and the SD is FAT32 format. I have also tried to use the 3 different boot modes in the service mode ( hold pwr botton + vol up). you get black screen and tiny almost unreadble text in boot mode.

Nothing helps, still cant recognize SIM or SD card And when connecting usb cable to pc, it says not recognize device. So I cant connect it to ROOTjoy.....this is really crap

Then I suggest you to reflash to whole software of your phone with SP Flash tool. Check this page. Choose the 'Firmware upgrade' option in SPFT.

I didn't solve the problem, i will send it back. I have the iron pro without that problems. I try it and try it and try it....
And i didn't make the nano sim from another sim! i order a new one.

Yes. I've had the phone now for several months.
No problems at all.

I am using 2 sims cards......no problems.

I run sat nav on it ......it works great.

I use it with my cars Hand free kit........no problems.

Great phone.
Buy one, you will be pleased with it.
