TWRP for F1 and F1 Play identical or have differences?

Is same firmware to 99% so it should work just fine.

Heck we can even use system/vendor/boot from f1 play with some slight issues though

Thanks to your post I got Root as well, with the only difference that I installed Magisk 19.1. It took me a while to solve drivers and a TWRP bootloop but in the end it was all worth it.

I'm actually happy with this phone, it's fast and I've had no problems with low volume in calls as other have mentioned. I'm glad Umidigi is fine with owners rooting their phone's (unlike Huawei that stopped providing bootloader unlocking codes).
Now, if we could get that Whatsapp camera thing solved and a working Magisk Xposed for Pie this would really be a flagship killer.

Hi... after update i lost my IMEI information and i haven't a backup...
I try to re-flash with FORMAT+DOWNLOAD
but I could not recover the IMEI information and on the display i see:

TEE:
Google:

I append the photo....


Can i restore my Umidigi F1 ?

Funny enough I have the same issue and don't even know what I can do to fix it. I've been trying to flash TWRP for over three days with no success, only to get this same issue too. I've been really frustrated and would love it if someone who's knowledgeable on a 100% working method for flashing TWRP and fixing this issue too. Thanks in anticipation.

Please can u give a step by step explanation of how you went about this? Been trying to flash TWRP for three straight days now, and ended up very frustrated. Lost my IMEI in the process too. After using Flash tools to flash it, I won't be able to reboot into recovery as my phone says its code red or something like that, and also something about a verified boot image. Please help a brother!

I actually followed Androidy's instructions who I am responding to on my original post, exactly like that. Follow it and I'm sure it'll work for you too.
About loosing IMEI, there's a post in the European ROM forum on how to recover it.

Hi, my F1 has red text in the top right corner after applying an update over SF Flash Tool, saying "TEE:" and "GOOGLE:", do you know how to remove this?

Just successfully rooted my F1 with Magisk using this tutorial: https://forum.xda-developers.com ... ice-magisk-t3779454

I modified the boot.img file on my phone and then transferred it back to my PC, meaning I could flash just the boot file. All working now!
