ROOT - UNROOT problems

Hi,
I'm a noob to all things andriod and could do with some help with my Umi iron.

After following unroot instructions on the forum so that i could install the barclays mobile app the app still wont run saying that it is rooted.
As I can use this app i'd like to 'reroot' my iron but all of the methods listed on the forums seem to fail

Rootjoy - errors "with please root your phone, check the root authority allow" i've tried the 1.6 and 1.7 rom and even the 1.5 rom with the view of upgrading afterwards not work
iROOT - Fails
Kingo Root - Fails
KingRoot - Fails


when trying to use superSU i get "There is no SU binary installed...."
how can i get my phone back to being rooted using the 1.6 rom??

I've followed the steps in the link provided and the others in the thread along with http://community.umidigi.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=11

but SP Flash cant connect to the phone I've checked device manager and it is being picked up and the correct drivers are installed.

Any pointers to help SP flash connect to the phone? do i need to remove the battery??

That's better to follow the guides and downloads of THIS PAGE. The others contain links for an obsolete flash tool version. If you're an Iron user, you might have to press the vol-up button while connecting your phone to USB.

Thank bb this worked almost a treat
not sure if it is the Iron / my laptop of just the normal process but i had to hit download on SP Flash then connect my phone to the USB before it fired up and flashed.

I'm now on a the new 1.7 rom

the issue i now have is that when checking if the phone is rooted root checker and SuperSU confirm that it is not rooted, yet my banking apps still say that it is??

Install TWRP recovery with Rootjoy, or with flash tool if your phone is really not rooted. Then install SuperSU from recovery. First time you'll have to update the SU binary and restart your phone.

hi,
sorry for the delay I lost my username and password for forgot which email I used  

to get the barclays app working I think i did the following:

• Updated Super SU
• Updated google play services to the latest and greates version (while still rooted this sorted out the not supported on your device issue)
• After installing the Barclays apps I unrooted using Super SU
