UMi Super fingerprint scanner problem

The scanner seems to be very sensitive, when I put it in the pocket it starts scanning stuff, also when I just leave it on the table it scans stuff.
It seems to scan when things are near, and it scans when shadows go on it.
It does those 5 scans and then locks the device until you unlock it with the pattern/password or whatever you set.
If I could atleast change the maximum amount of scans allowed that'd be great.

The rom is V7.01_20170308, from the wireless update.

Can someone please help?

Please check for updates (settings - about phone - wireless update)
If update is not available please flash with SPFT directly to latest available firmware or use OTA zip file one by one from here

I updated it after posting, to the latest update, and it is still too sensitive.

Switch off phone and wipe whole phone (I using window cleaner as is evaporating very fast) and dry very well.
Then rest phone.

That doesnt really work that well, and also that is stupid, just clean the scanner everyday.

Maybe just add an option to regulate the sensitivity of the scanner, calibrate it or just give an option for more false tries until you have to unlock with a code.

Maybe  ...

Calibrating option was removed since Android 7.
This cleaning option and drying to remove moisture is working fully correctly.
Please try and report if didn't fix your issue.

fingers not recognized
cannot add new ones

tried to factory reset
tried to clean with alcohol

Unfortunately I suspecting hardware fault.
If phone is out the warranty, you can try open phone and disconnect battery and fingerprint sensor. Then reconnect again and test.
