So if your firmware is not latest and your touch not working correctly you can use OTG adapter and connect computer mouse to your phone and check for OTA updates (settings - about phone - wireless update - check for updates).
If your phone doesn't see update but you are not on latest one you can follow OTA zip file update (local update)

Don't forget that the any OTA update needs to be done one by one.
Also you can use SPFT and flash phone directly to latest firmware.

About screen with or without frame.
I replacing always without frame but if you don't know how to replace easier repair is with frame.
To remove screen from frame firstly apply transparent tape over broken glass then remove top and bottom cover, screws, remove back cover, disconnect and remove battery and other stuff, use hairdryer to heat up screen on edges to soft double side tape and remove screen from frame. Reuse old double side tape if you don't have correct one.

The LCD screen F-550028X2N-C supports update V7.01_20170607?. I try to install by OTA and the mobile phone is left with android and it fails to update. At least it has restarted with the previous version.

Screen have nothing to OTA updates. This cannot cause such errors.
You can only update with OTA from 20170413 of course without root.
If you are on different ROM you need update one by one or use SPFT and flash complete ROM.
If you are already on second last version and you still facing OTA error you can perform factory reset and then try OTA update.

I Also need this information for my umi super.
On aliexpress they do not have the F-550028X2N-B, only the F-550028X2N-C. I asked a vendor and showed him my about the phone details, and he said it is not compatible.
If I upgrade the software to latest version will it work with the aliexpress F-550028X2N-C display?

Nobody give you 100% guarantee that everything will be fine as could be production fault too in new screen etc. But this what I know only latest android 7 is supporting latest screen versions. So you can update your phone before screen replacement using OTA or OTA zip files updated SPFT and latest ROM or after screen replacement if something will be wrong SPFT with late ROM.

A lot users replaced screen and they didn't have major issues.
So why they supplying this screen if by they opinion screen is not supported by any software.?
Doesn't make sense.
Unfortunately there is no other type of screen available so you need ty talk with other suppliers or just take risk and order.
I am sure that you can flash with SPFT and everything will be fine. But as I said you need decide what you can do.

I decided to take a chance and ordered from a vendor who said it works in all umi super.
I received the display and the model number is F-550028X2N-D.
Tested it and all works fine, I didn't have to change the software.
