Hi all, i'm Giuseppe From Italy, i bought this fantastic phone less than a month ago but the day before yesterday morning it don't switch on.
I left it on charge and turned on for all night long and at morning it was switched off and nothing to do for to switch on again.
I try with other battery charger but nothing.
Umi don't reply to me and i don't know what to do.

Regards.
Giuseppe.

Just an update: I have had great communication with Tomtop, the seller whom I bought the phone from the eBay and, seeing as a phone service couldn't figure out what the problem is, Tomtop has agreed to send me a replacement. I hate to advertise, but these guys have been very helpful in their post/sale client service working out this problem for me.

Also had the same problem with my umi iron, just like when put to load and the next morning I went to see him, was totally erased and with no sign. I tried to talk to the factory and they told me they can not do anything. Imagine a manufacturer say that can not do anything, that indifference, I asked at least contact a vendor to send me a motherboard, but they did not respond more. For now these cards are still pretty expensive, I've found that the card is short, but afraid to replace and be the same problem. As with others I'm sure this is a factory defect. UMI if you will burn like this will never be a major world company mobile phones.

Hi Giuseppe,

That's not so difficult to disassemble that phone, so I suggest you to remove the battery for a while, then put it back again and connect your phone to a computer USB port. If you have a multi-meter, you should measure the voltage of the battery and if possible, charge it with an external charger.

Faithfully,
Bence

ok it's true what you wrote but the phone was at the end fo charge period (91%) when i leave for the night and it was working. The problem is that i can't replace it in warranty beacouse the expedition is very expensive (1/3 of the phone's value), and there are many risk to send it to china from Italy.
So for me not a good phone, only one month of full work!!
I'm searching for spare parts, if you have please tell me.
