I live in Australia and have the same issue as others have reported about switching fro 4G to 3G, I can get 4G back  by changing 4G to 3G then back again in settings.
One other phone I have is LG G4 H815 that has 700 band and I can get 4g at 30MBPS anywhere in my house (90MBPS outside) and I live in a country town of 6000 people.
One problem is that UMIdigi have not kept up with 4G technology in their phones bands, In Australia we have following,
700, 850, 900,  1800, 2100, 2300 (TDD), 2600, 3500 (TDD),  700 is the best as it has longer range and building penetration.

Would appreciate an update soon to be able to lock in 4G.

The lack of the 700MHz band will become a problem if more companies use that band. Doesn't seem to cause me any trouble.

700 is called the 4GX LTE band and is the newest and is being rolled out by the two largest telcos in Australia (Optus and Telstra) it is a lower frequency band and has better building coverage. I looked at the Bands the phone has available and there is more active than they say in the advertising, Bands 1 (2100 FDD), 3 (1800 FDD), 7 (2600 FDD), 8 (900 FDD), 20 (800 FDD), 38 (2600 TDD), 39 (1900 TDD), 40 (2300 TDD), 41 (2300 TDD). Band 28 (700 FDD) is locked out. In Australia they are currently using two TDD frequencies Bands 40 (2300 TDD and 42 (3500 TDD).

With my issue as I am a couple of kilometers from tower 4g works fine in open and when I am closer to the tower in doors but switches to 3g when I walk through the front door and we have two frequencies where I am 700 and 2600.

Would be nice if they activate 700 B28 in up coming updates.

With the reception I have no problems.
Only sometimes the Z Pro changes from 4G to 3G.
I think this is completely normal.

Nope it's not. Listen I think it's not Umidigi fault. According to our lord and saviour - the internet () may smartphones with Android 6.0 on bord are dealing with the same problem, especially when you use a virtual mobile carrier (like I do - Virgin Mobile).

I have a similar issue. My Z Pro won't connect to 4g or 4g LTE at all. It just stays in 3g. I had the same card in my last phone and I can get 4g LTE anywhere. But when it's in the Z Pro, nope not at all. So I know for a fact it's not the service or the service provider. It is Umidigi and the phones.

My old phone is also Marshmallow (6.0) and I have never had a service problem. Also on the Z Pro, since it's also Marshmallow (6.0) I can't activate the Google Assistant like I could on my previous phone, again the previous was Marshmallow (6.0)...

The company needs to learn how to fix these previous issues before making new phones only to create more issues... Umidigi needs to learn to keep up with the hype...

Further to this, I have a LG G4 H815T and where in my home the ZPro has only 3G the LG in the same place in the house has 4G (48MBPS) also have a ZTE 4G router and get the same speed on that, when outside the house the LG reports 150(MBPS), maybe the company could do similar for the S2 Pro as that with the LG G4.
I looked at the 4G bands on the Z Pro and it has all bands listed but not possible to activate any extra bands like you can with the LG G4, is this a simple software fix ??
