Data always comes on

We have a habit of only turning on the data coinnection via the sim as we have a limited allowance and are often on secure wifi

But as soon as we click on the data item to cloe it, it re-opens

Is this a "feature" or is there a way to fix it?

My Samsung Note 4 is well behaved in this regard under Andriod version 6.1

Please update your phone to latest software.
Go to settings - about phone - wireless update - check for updates. Also please charge phone before updating.
You can try perform factory reset settings - backup and reset - factory data reset. Or settings - backup and reset - network settings reset.

Issue is still there, data is atomatically connects, and even if we try to manually off it, it reconnects in few seconds. and also when wifi is running, it attempts to coonect data, please let me know the solution.

Did you try network settings reset or full factory reset?

Please go to settings and check turbo download option is off or on.
Of course you need switch off to be sim data not working with wi-fi together.

issue is somewhat resolved, when i disabled batter save profile, I noticed that, when battery save profile is enabled, we do not have control over on truning off and on mobile data.

this method is work around, but we need to have fix for mobile data on and off through widget even if the battery save profile is on.

But when might we see a fix?

Also seems that Andriod 7 has such a switch ?

Lots to tell you how much data you have used but none to switch it on and off that I can see

Wll my SO has thrown this back at me and said it is useless - the screen keeps on flipping to "easy home"

So coming back for a refund if I can?
