Hi guys,

May I ask question why you hurry to Android 7???

Hello Chance,

we aren't hurry, the question is are we going to have the updated android or not, is the UMI will support its product or not ?

and according to the stability and the Bugs, these issues not related to android itself but to the company which implement it on the phone.

Edited by Elbaz at 2017-4-4 18:26 \n\nit is very disappointing to have a phone that released in December 2016, and we can't get features that released in august 2016 like the multi window, i have the phone and really it is very good, i have no issues but we need these features, and in the future we won't buy a phone that can't give you the new features that exist before the phone release.
and what a bout the android that will be released in this year, the ordinary support for two years but we can't get a features that was released before the phone.
Really very disappointed and not good for the future of the company.

In principle, customers expect secure systems. For this reason, Android 7 is a basic component of any device. It is incomprehensible that still devices with Android 6 are sold. Android 8 is already almost finished and the customers have to accept old waste.

Xperia ™ XA1 Ultra This phone has an Android 7.0 operating system and has a Helio P20 Processor. I think MTK gave the Sony brand the Android 7 SDK ..

Hi,
You can see that, even much older models (Super, MAX and the newer Plus) are still supported, so the Plus E is not an exception. As soon as MediaTek provides an Android 7.x SDK for the Plus E (an SDK compatible with the dual LPDDR4 RAM setup), UMi will start to develop the upgrade. Those few other models with Helio P20 SoC, that already have received an Android 7.0 upgrade, are built with single channel (max 4GB) LPDDR3 RAM moduls.

Well, if Mediatek did still not provide the SDK, maybe UMIDIGI should consider chipsets from other manufacturers...
Ok, that would mean more expensive handsets...

But even if UMI is still waiting for the Android 7 SDK, what about improving the Marshmallow User Experience, or at least fixing bugs?
The latest update is already 2 1/2 months old, and some of the bugs are quite annoying.

For example the Bluetooth connection.I have to restart the Phone at least twice a day because it hangs when trying to connect to my car stereo or my bluetooth headset.
The bluetooth connection also begins to stutter whenever the display turns off. And before you suggest to switch the energy saving profile: I've already done that. In general, my Energy Profile says "always on".

Then there's the annoying Alarm Bug, which originally came with Android 5.1 Lollipop. At the end of each month, when i want to put the phone to "Do not Disturb", there's no option "Until Next Alarm". The option reappears at the first day of each month.
http://www.androidpolice.com/2016/01/27/the-until-next-alarm-bug-in-do-not-disturb-mode-returns-will-probably-be-there-until-google-patches-it/

Then there's general some problems with the alarm. Once, the handset completely turned off at night, so no alarm was played.
And last week, when i was on vacation with my wife, a deactivated alarm went off at 5:30 in the morning.

Other bugs are the music player app starting playing for no reason and the device unlocking in my shirt pocket, dialing numbers or starting apps. As i'm using a PIN code to unlock, that's rather disturbing. Looks like anyone could unlock the phone by just putting it in a shirt pocket

So UMIDIGI, while we're patiently waiting for Mediatek to provide the Android 7 SDK, please adress the existing bugs, flaws and provide us with Marshmallow updates.

Regards,
Steffen
