Edited by trev260764 at 2017-3-17 17:06 \n\nAdvice please!
I have owned:UMi Hammer: Bluetooth wouldn't connect to car
UMi Iron Pro: Screen stopped rotating to landscape - sold as faulty
UMi London: Apps opened by themselves at random, music changed tracks witout user input
UMi Diamond: Actually very good apart from poor camera results indoors/low-light
UMi Touch: Camera poor
UMi Super: Camera poor
UMi Plus: Wi-Fi loses connection, bluetooth loses connection, GPS erratic.  Camera was good but then failed (see other post) - returned to Gearbest

I really liked the Plus, and it was running Android 7.0 - I just wondered if the issues occurred after opgrading from 6.0 to 7.0? I need a new phone, and as you can see I have had UMi issues (!), should I buy another Plus and leave it on 6.0, get a Z and leave it on 6.0 - or get a OnePlus 3??

Thanks!

Sorry but I can't advice you with this case.
Definitely what I can say is that in my super camera is average (to Chinese phones enough for me) but other hardware is just perfect for me as can handle all tasks and battery is lasting very long.
About umi plus I must say that is better than umi super in design and weight aspects everything else is the same (camera is a bit better too ).
Maybe you are only unlucky as we don't have such problems.
I definitely comparing umi to other Chinese phones and to other brands in same price group.

If you have 400 USD go to OnePlus, but for half price you can buy UMI Plus E. But go to UMI Plus Extreme better than Plus. The latest Android 6.0.1 works great.

Thank's for the advice. I hadn't included the 'E' on my shortlist, just thought it was a 'normal' Plus with bigger memory!

if umi is the only option - go for z pro.

if you can spend enough money to buy OnePlus, go for OnePlus 3 or 3T.

cant really compare OnePlus to other chinese phones because snapdragon SoC is superior in every way to MTK. and you get a top of the line flagship for half the price of sony/samsung/apple. and OP doesnt have these random bugs as UMI (well they probably do, buts its much easier to get a replacement/fix)

and, i dont't know where you are, but i know that in europe you dont' pay taxes or customs if you order OP, or if you pay them you can get a refund.

good luck

If you can afford a One Plus go with that, UMI make great budget phones while Oneplus makes flagship spec handsets. Not to mention better after sales and re-sale value.
Snapdragon processors kick MediaTek ones out the window.
