Double tap on the screen is not working

Hi Folks,

I upgraded to the latest ROM 13_02_17 ane enabled the doubel tap on screen to light up.
But it doesn't work at all after enabling it, i double tap and nothing happens, am i missing something, do i need to enable anything else?

After reading your message, enabled that option in the accessibility settings and it works fine when the screen is off. I did nothing else besides enabling it in the accessibility settings.

same here turned it on, and it is working fine letting me see front page without the app icons, just the clock there and icons on top and bottom of screen.

ok, it seems it works now - not that great though, maybe because of the tempered glass protection its less sensitive.
I need to tap 3 times an quite strong and it opens up.

The stronger - the better, even without glass protection. But still not all the time...

Here it works fine. I'm not using any glass protector.

Here's a few tips:
1) make sure you're using only one finger;
2) make sure you're pressing in the exact same spot twice. If you press two different spots on the screen it won't work, so your finger can't really move away from the spot that was initially touched (I think this is mostly to prevent accidental touches).
3) try doing it slower, if you're pressing too quickly.

it just doesn't work good Undogmatic, it shouldn't be so hard to use. My wife has LG G3, and 2 gentle clicks will open the screen without any problem. with the UMI Z you need to hammer the screen aggressively 3 times and hope that it will work, in half of the times it wouldn't work, sometimes it works in a large delay, very poor optimizations of the software again. it is not the screen protector because it accept regular touches without a problem.
