Doesnt recognise headphones

I've had numerous headaches with this phone since it arrived, most of them I can deal with, however this one is driving me insane and (same as a lot of other people on these boards) have nbo response from the reseller for assistance (Umi state the warranty is done through the authorised reseller of their phones).

So I was hoping to find out if anyone else had an issue with the audio jack port not recognising when the headphones are inserted? I have tried 5 different pairs of headphones (including new ones bought specifically to test the phone) and none of them are working. Music still plays through the phones speakers.

No issue here, with both cabled and bluetooth headphones with mic.

Are you getting headphones icon on top notification bar when headphones are connected?
You should try factory reset. If this not help probably you have hardware failure and you need contact to seller.

I am getting no response when I plug in headphones to USB-C adapter. Headphones work in all other devices with no problems. I verified that the adapter is securely connected. I have a Z2. Sound plays from phone speaker but willnot transfer to headphones. I have tried 3 different sets of headphones.
Any ideas?
