UMI PLUS Broken (Cracked) Touch Screen

Hi guys!

Yesterday I dropped my umi plus and I got a crack on the touch screen. This crack made the half of the screen becomes unresponsible, so, the phone is ununsable since then. My doubt is: Is this case, it's enough to buy the Touch Screen digitizer alone or I must buy the Touch + LCD Display? I also find a version which includes the touch screen + LCD + frame, but it's way too expensive and I really thought it's not necessary in my case. So, here are the links I found:

Note that i'm worried about that because I live in Brazil, so the pieces will take a long time to arrive here, as well as the wrong option will make me take a longer time to get my phone working in order. Thanks for any reply from you guys!

I would recommend replace complete screen (glass +digitizer +lcd) as if you are not smartphone service you will be not able replace only digitizer. You need add to digitizer cost of labour, glue, uv lamp, cutting wire.
Please look here for basic repairing tools cost (without uv lamp, you can use uv lamp for your girlfriend nails ;-) )

First, thank you MarcinP for the reply.

So, I understand that if I buy the complete LCD+Touch Screen pack I showed you, then I won't need to buy all these other tools, right? In this case, I surely think that the complete pack will be worthy, because it means the easiest (and fastest) way to repair my phone. If i'm wrong, feel free to make a correction . Thanks in advance!

Yes you are correct. Definitely easier would be buy touch+lcd+frame together but as you mentioned is to expensive. Easy enough to replace is only touch +lcd.

Here you have umi plus teardown but you no need removing cameras from motherboard only remove mane parts as whole mother board, battery, USB board. When you have only frame with screen you can use hairdryer and heat screen and try push out screen from back to front.
You can buy screen with basic tools which should be enough to dissemble umi plus and replace screen.

Hi!

I found a kit with the frame at a decent price and bought it, so I think it will be even easier to do the thing. As well, I bought a case to minimize chances of doing it again . I saw the teardown video just now, thanks for the tip, it'll be very helpful! So, the topic can be closed as solved now. Again, thanks to help me with this.

For pre-order umi Plus phone has been purchased through aliexpress.com. Received it in November 2016. 05.02.2017 dont working the touchscreen. The phone is not dropped, carefully used, stored in the case.
In the service center I was told that this is a manufacturing defects.
What are the options to solve the problem you have to offer?
The situation is very unpleasant.
Phone worked only 3 months!

If you put a bit heat over screen will start work?
You should contact seller to see what they propose to you.
Also you can perform factory reset (settings - backup and reset - factory data reset)
Then re-flash with SPFT.

Sorry for the delay,but as I said before, brazilian customs service is a piece of sh*t, and the screen has been delivered to me just today. I'll tell you if it will works (I hope so).

You don't need the complete unit with the frame, the digitizer/lcd removes easily with a hairdryer. BUT, be careful detaching the antenna from the motherboard as I broke-off the socket - and nobody could offer any help (see my thread 'Screen removal'). I have since used the screen assembly in another device and it installs easily.
