As a recent owner myself, here are my answers:
1] Yes. And to answer 2], yes to both! You can browse your phone upon plugging (if it is not detected, see http://community.umidigi.com/thread-4916-1-1.html which is what i did on windows 10 to access my phone through MTP). As to charging, it charges horrendously slow; at best it can maintain the same battery level as when you plugged it in. You can however turn the phone off then plug it in, which makes it charge faster (although not as fast as the charger it came with). Which brings us to 3], yes you can as long as the power rating is lower or equal to the charger it came with. What you will end up with is a slow charge, which will take much more time than using the charger it came with.
As for usb leads, you can buy one made for Umi Plus (the metal bit is longer on those than on regular ones you can buy), or just get a decent cable and carefully trim about 1mm off the plastic of the end that goes into your phone. |
