UMi Super and MAX Android 7.0 new info

Dear UMi SUPER and MAX users,

As you know, UMi Plus was the first MediaTek SoC based smartphone in the world, that received an Android 7.0 upgrade, and to be the first one always needs to be the most careful one as well. So, to ensure there are no risks of installing android 7.0, we have finished pushing android 7.0 OTA to UMI PLUS users first, then we will start pushing android 7.0 FOTA to SUPER, that's expected to be finished in this month. MAX will follow the SUPER, which should be finished somewhere in the middle of February.
However, from now the second and already fully functional beta test flash ROM for UMi SUPER is available for users, who can install with SP Flash Tool. The beta ROM can be downloaded here: http://community.umidigi.com/thread-6169-1-1.html
We are really sorry and do apologize for the delay but to ensure users are not getting any risk of upgrading to android 7.0, we must be as careful as it is necessary, even if we break an earlier promise.
So, we respectfully ask you to be a bit more patient, we will fulfill our promise in a timely manner for sure.

...and before we forget - Please tell the development team to sign the ROM using release keys before shipping the final! More and more (it seems) "critical" apps (like banking apps, and some versions of the Wear Companion app) seems to check this, and refuse to run, rejecting the device as "tampered with" if it's signed with test keys.

Many of you pushed and pressured Umi to release 7... Just hold off till tje major bugs are worked out.

Search for 'scanning' in the Settings and turn off both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi scanning.

The flash tool version of the first final Android 7.0 release (V7.01_20170123) for UMi Super is uploading now and will be published today in the ROM section. Maybe also the OTA update file but I cannot promise that yet.

There is no ROM released on 20160810 for the Umi Max. The first release according to the OP for the Umi Max Rom was released on 20160819. All the roms for Umi Max can be found here: http://community.umidigi.com/forum-133-1.html

Many of us got the shiny new phone with 20160810 ROM. (e.g. like me and my broter in law). And really , with this rom was almost perfect the fingerprint scanner.

Actually, after installing a new update my UMI SUPER in standby mode will withstand 5 days, watching HD movies will withstand 5 hours and that is fine. Unfortunately the battery charge time from 0% to 100% takes 4 hours and this is definitely a long time. On the android 6 battery charged for 1.5 hours. Well if UMIDIGI solved this problem.

I would like to understand why it´s a different version as well.

And I don't get it why UMI makes us do a difficult procedure and why the FOTA update do not work properly from the start. Not all of us are tech savvy.

Thank you for the good news. I thought that 7.0 will be through SPFT only, so its availability through FOTA is really great.

According to umi you will get Android 7. If you want that update you have to use spft (it's quite simple to do).
Per favori usare google tradutori.

A lot of people are interested in this update hoping it will cure problems with current functionality, myself included, my GPS is rubbish, and if this update doesn't sort it I'm of to xaiomi
