When using my carkit the phone is continuously connecting and disconneting from the carkit (bluetooth).
This happens every 2 or 3 minutes. It drives me crazy.
What is causing this? I have this problem since the last version update (build 3.01_20161228).
On previous builds  I did not have this problem. Is there a solution or is this a software glitch?

Please help.

Stop waiting. UMi has a very strange business model. They have engineers who spend their time designing new phones that match the latest Gucci handbags and the latest business suits and fashion. UMi bring out a new phone almost every month! Always their phones are extremely stylist.

Now that you ask for them to actually be reliable and function correctly, isn't that a little too much to ask. Like, you got the coolest looking phone going and now you expect to connect to the internet and actually make phones calls? Don't you think you're expecting a little too much?

Hi,

If you have this issue since the last update, please perform a factory data reset, and try again.

I have the same issue. And because of the switching the battery is draining quickly!

I did a factory reset but did not have the possibility to test it at this moment. My car is in the garage this week. After reading the other posts I think that UMI has some work to do to solve this problem very very soon. Reading the above posts I do not think that the factory reset did solve it for me as well. The pulsing of the Bluetooth connection is very frustrating and needs direct attention and a patch from UMI asap.

The connection to my Bluetooth headphones and to the Smartwatch also interrupted constantly. The phenomenon occurs mainly in road traffic, on busy roads or along trams.

Got my car back last Friday. Although I did a factory reset of the phone the problem remains. My wifes phone (Samsung S3 Neo) and my old Note2 are  working correct so the continious disconnecting and re-connecting every 2 or 3 minutes (consequently) must be in the software of the UMI. Please UMI, take up this issue and correct it in an update asap. This problem is very annoying when driving a few hours.

I have the same issue and nothing helps. I've tried hard reset, reflash with SP Flash Tool, nothing changed. And the worst thing is that I can't downgrade to Android 6.0. I've tried but screen is black. I'm considering the option to return the device and get my money back, too many issues.

It is a pitty. If this problem remains without solving I have to admit that it will be my first and last UMI phone. Even my daugthers UMI Rome X has issues (she can't update anymore and gets this message "your system was damaged, wireless update disabled"). This is already since last November and has not been solved yet. So no more UMI phones for us. I have to say that the phones are very attractive items for a good price, but the hard- and software issues makes them partly useless. It seems that the focus for UMI is rolling out new phones without solving exsisting issues. As a customer I feel like left in the cold. I hope that I am wrong about this.
