I broke the screen on my UMI Touch. As the LCD ws working perfectly and the digitiser screen still partly worked I ordered a new screen without the LCD from a supplier on ALI Express.

I received the new screen. Today I removed the broken screen and found that there was a panel stuck to the back of the screen which is impossible to remove without breaking it.

The panel has a silvered layer on top of a black layer. This is what makes the the front of the screen to be black, the new front panel is clear and can't be fittted without this extra panel because the phone just won't be right.

Does anyone know if I can purchase this inner panel anywhere? I can't seem to find any online.

If these panels are not available I would not advise anyone to buy just the front panel screen without the LCD. Has anyone bought the front screen with an LCD panel, does this package come with this extra panel fitted to the screen to make appear black.

As i know the screen and touch screen are inseparable and it's impossible to change one of them. I dont know what do you mean of the extra panel. But i found this

You bought only digitizer. To replace this you need use special tools to cut/separate digitizer from LCD and then special glue to join everything together. Of course you need clean everything before assembling so you need special wipes and cleaner.
By my opinion this option is only for proper smartphones service centres.
If you want repair your self you need always buy digitizer with LCD or digitizer with LCD and frame.
