Hi!

My UMi Max sometimes losts the connect with the SIM and the SD cards. The speaker is quiet and sometimes the system is very slow. I downloaded a new update (I hope it will solve these problemes) in the Settings but my smartphone can't reboot when I choose the installing of the update. Is there any idea?

Thanks!

Please give me some details. From which software version to which you try emigrated. Did you try OTA or SPFT update.
To reboot your phone you need press and hold power button for about 10 seconds until your phone switch off. Then restart phone and go to settings -  about phone and check build number.

I'm not the OP so my details may be slightly different, but I believe I am having the same issue. When doing an FOTA update from 20160810, everything works properly until rebooting the phone. It displays the "Reboot..." prompt but doesn't actually reboot; it can stay there for hours without doing anything. I also tried manually rebooting into recovery to see if I can do anything that way, but holding the power and volume down buttons brings me to "Factory Mode" which appears to be different from recovery mode (there's no way to wipe, flash updates, etc). What can be done in order to make the updates install properly?

Hi
Sorry for your inconvenience but to emigrate from your build date firmware you need use SPFT. You can emigrated straight to latest ROM without any issues. Don't forget that you will lose all data from phone.
Please firstly try OTA zip update from same link. To do OTA zip update you need download OTA zip file in to you phone memory (you can download on computer and then use USB wire and transfer to phone) charge you phone to full then go to settings - about phone - wireless update - press three dots on top right corner - local update - internal storage - find your zip file and follow instructions on screen.
If doesn't help follow SPFT update.
Please use you computer, usb wire, download ROM, SPFT, and vcom driver. All from here http://community.umidigi.com/for ... thread&tid=5061
Then you need install vcom driver
Install SPFT
Unzip ROM file and place in to one folder
Switch off your phone, remove SD and sim cards (in case you lose some details)
Open SPFT,  open scatter download  and choose scatter file from your ROM folder
You can uncheck  user data to not loose your data
Then click on download
Then plug your phone to USB
Wait until done

Edited by thewii552 at 2016-12-19 06:55 \n\nOkay, thank you. Any idea, however, why most people with this build have seemingly no issues with an FOTA update but OP and I do?Edit: Installing updates from a local zip file produces the same result. It seems to be an issue with the update app on my specific device that other people aren't having.

UMI MAX FOTA from V1.01_20160810
Hi,
The V1.01_20160810 version is an early release, that unfortunately does not contain the correct server data for FOTA update. From that version the only way to update your phone is to flash it with SP Flash Tool. After that process, you will be able to receive any later FOTA updates without any issues.
