Hello,
I use a UMI phone myself, and have been following the brand/phones and message board for a while. Here is what I learnt.

Everyone loves the look of the phones and the main functions and price tag.

However
ALL your phones whether you admit it or not seem to have the SAME issues regardless of which model it is

1) The camera is nowhere near as good as advertised
2- most important for most) The GPS on the phones are unreliable, jumpy, just embarrassing.

You do not have to admit the issues and I do not have to prove them, anyone who has your phones and has followed your forums  for long enough knows that these faults are common.

I truly hope that I am wrong on this new phone but I highly doubt it.  might be time to just scrap the GPS and focus on the camera or vice vera and get at least one working, but dont advertise the camera functions as decent  or fail to mention that there will likely be GPS issues as it will only get you so far. please focus on these two items, as they are the ONLY things letting your phones down (new or old) and they are big attributes to a phone in today's modern age

Tried all the GPS fix as recommended in the forum but still signal drop every now and then. Camera is not the best but decent if you are not comparing to other flagship.

According my UMI Super experience, after UMI Super launch into the market then the GPS and Camera issue occured, UMI's users hoped that
the later and latest products model UMI Super Euro Edition)  will fix and develop correctly.  UMI launch the market by Super>>Plus>>Plus E
but all are the same issue GPS and Camera, there is nothing change and develop properly.  Do not expecting more!!!

I agree with you. When I am taking HD photos with my Umi Plus is blurred and pathetic. Normal photos are good than HD (When compared with Xioami, their camera is good).

Bought a new Umi Plus E and will see how camera is going to be.

Edited by bunyamin at 2016-12-16 04:13 \n\nI definitely agree with you friends. UMI must focusing on these kind of issues then it can be take a long breath at this league. But let admit that UMI is improving significantly, especially in the compact body design. We are still fans of UMI and We expect achievements on the Issues area as well. Thıs pie is not just belonging to a limited amount of brands. we won't let UMI down but UMI should not let us down as well

It appears that's what you get when you buy a UMI. Since Iboughtr a Rome about 10 months ago they have introduced about 9 other models - and they all have major problems. Go through the forums.

UMI have a strange business model. Why not just concentrate on producing ONE good phone a year?

Previously having the Iron Pro the GPS and Camera were very poor, now that I have been using the GPS on the Plus E I have not had any problems and concerning the camera it is definitely an improvement from having the Iron Pro and I am adequately satisfied but they could definitely make improvements with image noise

They changed the chipset in the Plus E and the GPS has been working flawlessly for me but the camera is terrible. I tried switching camera apps and it seems to improve a bit, but not much.

GPS is reliable and works fine on Umi Plus E, camera is not that good, very nice with good light, bad in low light.
So far satisfied with my purchase, at least for a 200 bucks phone. Some bugs with the WiFi but the most annoying part is the USB port that is not a type C standard.
