Fingerprint scanner stopped working

Hi, I've bought an Umi Touch in June 2016, it has been a pleasure since today.
The fingerprint scanner is disappeared, there is no icon on the bottom of the screen nor the option in the security panel.
I'm really worried about it because I don't think it's a software problem since I didn't update the system in these days and I already tried to reboot, etc...
Since it has been just few months, there is the warranty but first I want to know other people's opinion.

Hi, the fingerprint that desapears un the security options is a well known issu of the Umi Touch.
Lots of problems with the fingerprint with this phone.
And Umi is not going to solve the problem or update the ROM...

Same thing where, with no apperent reason the fingerprint sensor stop working and the fingerprint option on the security menu dissapear. However the home button still work when pressed!

Is it a software problem or hardware problem? I thought that maybe the fingerprint scanner was unplugged (I don't know how, but let's suppose that), however the seller said that I should reset to factory settings and I don't know if that means that I have to do a hard reset... I don't know what to do and since I bought this phone because it has the fingerprint scanner, I definetely want to have it!

This issue can't be hardware problem as if is hardware problem then option for exp.  finger print can't disappear.
Please do factory reset settings - backup and reset - factory data reset. You will loose all your data and phone come back to factory settings.
If this not helping you need flash your phone with SPFT to restore ROM here is link for ROM, SPFT tool and drivers

Home button and finger print sensor are build in one unit but those are two separate sensors.

After a hard reset and flash with  the last rom the problem persist... so I think this is a hardware problem!

Same thing here, since I should send my phone in China for 2 months I'll try paying someone to fix it...

The sensor socket may have been removed. You can check by opening the phone cover. The socket will be inside the black protector under the phone.

If you have not solved the problem by resetting the phone software, I suggest you buy a new sensor. I think any repairman can plug new socket.
