I think the admins have abandoned the Touch forum Bob. If you mean the wall wart/wall plug part of the charger has to be held in a certain position it could be a fractured pin or loose connection. If you mean the USB plug you could prove if it's the phone or the cable by swapping to a known good cable. I found most Samsung and Kindle leads interchange. If the problem is in the phone port you'll have to try for a warranty repair or replacement phone. Try charging the phone from a PC or laptop and if that works OK the wall plug is stuffed for sure. Buying an aftermarket charger will be a lot less stress than trying to interest somebody in a warranty claim. I must be one of the few happy UMi Touch customers. A few weeks ago I installed Cyanogenmod 13 instead of the factory Android which mopped up a few minor irritations I had. Hope this that helps you mate. |
