Hi all,
Just a question. How long have you all had your phones for?
For any android phone I've had I've always found the battery performance to be horrid over the first few WEEKS. But, as my usage pattern stabilises and as the OS gets to know the apps I use regularly and the ones that I don't, the battery life always improves. This can sometimes take a few weeks.
Also, there will be times when the battery drains quickly. Is bluetooth switched on unnecessarily? Am I in an area with poor coverage and, therefore, my phone is constantly searching for signal? Am I constantly searching for WIFI hotspots? is GPS on? Am I constantly turning the screen on to check the battery level?
My suggestion, give your phone some time to settle in. Then start making decisions on whether it is not performing well. And, if you can, use the method suggested by bencebacsi for a true test of the battery capacity, but a high mAh value does not automatically mean your phone will last you all day.
Hopefully this helps.
