Umi Iron died when inserting sim card!

does anyone know how to reset and wake up "activate the phone" again?

For people whose Iron has died. Have you used a factory nano SIM or you have cut out from a bigger SIM card.
I have seen a video about cutting a micro SIM to nano size and if you have an older SIM card,  you cut through the metal part too. In that case you can make a short circuit with it since the Iron's SIM tray is made out of meta  and has contact with the SIM's metal part.

Hi cvrki,

Just remember that most of the people who post here will be people who are having issues. The majority of people who are having a good experience with the phone are unlikely to search for this community. So, considering the number of units that have been shipped is quite high, and the number of users posting issues here will be fairly small compared to that... try and make a judgment based on that.

There are a few posts of people having good experiences. I'm receiving my own Iron soon and will happily post my experiences here. But, as a moderator, I wouldn't expect users to base their opinions on my reports.

I have the same problem. My Umi Iron died 10s after I set a SIM card, and cannot be again ON.
I cant charge the phone, and have no USB connection.
Should I send My phone to UMI for warranty?

Hi traven and Kalypso. Can you try connecting with a different USB cable to see if that helps. If it works, install ROM v1.5 via the flashtool method.

Hello to all!
I have a little different problem , but i hope somebody can help. If i put my sd card in the phone, i didnt start, it goes into a boot loop ??? it starts with the UMI logo and then comes the boot loop. Without a sd card it starts normally. I try another sd card, it was the same problem.
Anybody?

I think this happened to my UMI Emax, he unloaded altogether while I slept and now will not turn over, even leaving hour charger. as bettery is internal, you can not replace or charge out of the machine to see if you issue the battery or connector.

@ jcdark - Did i understand it right, i have to wait for the battery until its empty? Or did you mean its a problem with the battery or the usb connector?
Without a sd card the phone starts normally, but i cant install the update to 1.5 without the sd card, because the usb connecting is sh.. !

Did you mean it was a problem with the usb connector? The connection to the pc over the usb connector is **** and with the ****... sd card in it , the phone didnt start.

No, I meant that my phone went out and not turn over. it was working, he discharged the battery and now will not turn over. Already left connected to the charger over two hours and it does not give signs of life.
