the difference betwenn both phones :  

umi super was a beta phone and umi uses his custumers as beta tester

umi max will probably work directly good out of the box

I'm afraid the GPS won't be better unfortunately...
GPS was not working with their previous products as well (UMI Rome, UMI Touch,...), they were aware of it and didn't solved this trouble with the newer UMI Super !

+1, we all hopes the hardware issues will be fixed in Umi Max.

Umi Max is with 3GB Ram, Super got 4GB. Seems that the Max shall be the small brother of Super.

The RAM is not the main point. I don't think there will be any significant difference between 3 and 4GB Ram as performance. However, there are some other more important points, like the Gorilla Glass that is said to be used in Max, better audio chip, and hopefully they should put better antennas for GPS and WiFi which really makes difference.
I wonder if the case and protector from Super can fit on Max? I hope so, because I have both of them left with me after I returned my Super back to the seller.
