I saw the UMI video reviews, about how wonderfuul the UMI Super camera is and great photos and videos, and I look at my phone and wonder if you realy made those videos and photos with the Super or with a real Pro camera...
Neither me or all of the Forum UMI Super users seem to agree with your opinion.
I share the same opinion and results as Christophe Langlois:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EqHNxlIFoPY

The battery issue seem to be resolved, but camera got worse.
Taking pictures at night or late afternoon is quite impossible with it.
Videos as well.
The stock cam app doesn't know how to mesure light on the scene and there's no option to define if it meters center point, average or all image.
Focus is a nightmare on video you need to be taping the screen to tell the cam where to focus.
Like the photos theres no option you can define where the video cam should focus, center, tracking object or infinite.
Another issue on the cam is if you change the default settings and close the App and open again they are gone and you need to go again and redefine again the settings.
The touch screen touch sensibilty is worse and some times doesn't respond.
One of the main reasons to get a new phone and put a part my old Galaxy S3 was going for a great quality photo smartphone and I feel betrayed and deceived by all your advertising and videos that I can't believe were made by any UMI Super.
I know that this is a pretty early stage of the phone on the market and things need to be fixed, but how come you advertise such big quality and hability and everybody experiences the oposite.
Hope you can fix this cam issue in the next week or two or I will sell the UMI Super to my sadness because it looks a great phone and with full potential but I can't have a Smartphone that can't deliver what it's most crucial and important to me.

I fully agree with Marcoxcosta's post - the UMI's SUPER camera is basicly unusable indoors(except in very well lit places) and from late afternoon until the morning. The camera works nicely only outdoors during perfect light conditions, otherwise its pure disaster! I suggest UMI to work hardly on the patch to fix the issue because few reviews of the device are in the pipeline(including my own) and its outcome will no doubt affect UMI SUPER sales. Don't get me wrong - UMI SUPER is a good device but its very poor camera performance is hindering the other device's qualities badly. Who would buy a great smartphone without camera? Because that's what UMI SUPER is - good smartphone without camera(because its camera is hopeless). Let's wait another week and see if UMI will do something about it or give us some clarification.

Excellent camera in UMI Super ???    it's absolute waste, look at photos from other middle and lower class mobile phones, and then you know it too. Absolutely incomparable!

Well, as my UMi died on me, I had to dig out my previous phone, an Asus Zenfone 5, sporting an 8 megapixel Sony sensor. To be honest, I've never had much to complain about while taking pics with the UMi Super, but wow what a difference! Despite the UMi having a higher resolution Panasonic sensor, the snaps with the Asus phone are much clearer and crisper. Obviously the Panasonic sensor is vastly inferior to the Sony.

I am not satisfied with the performance of the two cameras.
The main camera provides good pictures when lighting conditions are optimal.
Compared with my LG G4 these photos are very blurred.
In the evening or at night, the camera is not to be used.

The Selfie Camera is a joke.
Photos are very pixelated and completely blurred.
The images from the advertising can not possibly have been taken with this camera.

I do not expect that the two cameras are as good as my LG G4,
but I expect that I can take pictures in good quality.

I feel just like a beta tester.

UMi has promised much in advertising.
Now is the time to give customers what they have paid.
If the problems could not be solved by software updates,
UMi should think about to build in other components.

Battery is still terrible tbh on my Samsung S4 Mini I get 2 weeks of standby with WiFi off using cyanogenmod 13 and that has a 2700 mAh battery. UMI Super after rooting and installing exposed framework etc to get rid of all the crap that drains battery I get 5 days of standby with Wifi off. A Phone that drains 0.8% battery in deep sleep per hour quite frankly is trash. Over night the super drains about 8-10% battery compare that to my sony z4 drains 1% over the same time period again smaller battery. I wish UMI would release their source codes. Because I doubt they can unfuck this mess they made all hope left is with custom kernel/OS. Good hardware bad software. If UMI wants to be "super" they need to start doing better on the software part hardware is only half the phone.

The camera really works badly as a sunny day or at home. My previous Chinese phone 2013 issue photographed many times better 8MP camera than the Umi super 13MP camera. At this point, the camera shoots a 5MP with interpolation to 13MP.

Come on, you know what  I'm speaking about, the picture  quality is lower  than a 8Mpx ( my previous cheaper phone), on the website we can read:"panasonic 13 mpx camera". You're right, come on!

Umi Super takes the worst pictures I've ever seen since 2013. Why even bother to have a camera is that quality is so low.

Hi all!
I`m surprised... Umi Super camera app (FOTA) is crap. OpenCamera with internal foto-metric makes sharp images! When recording in the dark frame does not drop to 1/s... much less noise... at all. Try it out! OpenCamer... remember change foto-metric to INTERNAL. MX Camer is working better too...
UMI SORT THIS OUT!
