UMI Rome X - touchscreen problem

Hello !
I just purchased Umi Rome X but from the first day keyboard wasn't working.
I press a letter and another one appears, I press to erase the text and it types the letters ''l'' and ''p'' instead.
I tried google keyboard and more, no effect
I tried some screen boosters, nothing....
What can I do ? I can't even text somebody

Dear razcol,

To rule out the possibility of an existing software error, I suggest you to flash your phone with SP Flash Tool, choosing the 'Firmware Upgrade' option in the flasher application. That process will completely rewrite the whole software content of your device. - You will lose your user data.

If this software reflashing doesn't help, then your touch screen digitizer is probably hardware defective. In that case I suggest you to contact your reseller for a replacement.

I have exactly the same problem on my phone. It only happens on the lower right corner letters on the keyboard including the delete letter key. Different keyboard apps made no difference. The only way round it that i could find was to make sure the screen was in rotate view (not stuck in portrait) and use the keyboard with the phone in the landscape position. Hope this helps.

Do you plan to release updates to rome x?I would like to hand the camera settings

I have the same issue, the only real fix is turning the phone on its side, assuming you have auto rotate turned on. Its getting worse since my screen developed a fault

Glad to know am not the only one having this issue ... the rotate fix ok but some app won't rotate... any fix
