Okay, I've had my Umi Emax Mini since christmas and have only had a few problems (over heating and speaker not working for a bit) but this one takes the cake. So I was on my phone watching YouTube videos at night when all asudenly my phone cut off of YouTube and went to the Android logo screen that you would see when booting up the phone. I have already tried holding the power button down but it does nothing. I also can't take out the battery because the battery on the Umi Emax Mini is unremovable. Would really apresiate it if someone could help me out.

So, the logo screen keeps showing even when the power button is pressed longer than 20 seconds?

In that case, I would have removed the plastic back (in case of heating up too much) and let the phone run out of battery, then try again if you can boot up properly or enter recovery.

If all that fails, it needs to be returned to the seller, ofc.
Anyway, good luck and report back when you have news to share.

Well in that case: return the item and demand a full refund.
Good thing you bought through Amazon, imagine buying it from some random ebay seller or directly from CN...

Just state that it is a common issue with this device, I wouldn't go for a replacement, better keep that money and wait until you can invest it in something more solid. ;)

I would have returned it already with the speaker issue you mentioned... if I buy a new and unused device and the speaker starts acting up in the first couple of weeks, it's over.

1. Your phone probably can be repaired.
2. In such cases that's the worst thing that you can do to let the battery to become completely exhausted.
3. I read about a such issue at the first time now, so that's quite not common.

The possible solution:
Try to flash the ROM of your phone using the downloads and guide on the following page.

If you never can see the 'HS-USB QDLoader 9008' COM port device in your Windows device manager and your phone never wakes up or at least vibrates, then the battery might be in a deep discharge state, so the phone simply doesn't perceive its existence to charge it. In that case the battery should be removed and charged by an external charger for a while. Unfortunately that's not something that you can do at home without the proper skills and tools.
